They are installed in each zone in Automatic Sprinkler Fire Suppression Systems to perform necessary tests and maintenance. They have the K factor of the sprinkler with the smallest orifice in the system. They have a sight glass on them to observe whether flow occurs. In addition to testing, there is a third position on them that provides complete drainage.
